Africa University is a private institution that is self-governing and independent. Africa University is governed by an international Board of Directors that represents stakeholders from Africa, Europe and North America.

The University offers over 50 cutting-edge undergraduate and graduate programmes that focus on meeting Africa’s vital needs such as food security, improved public health, peace, good governance and sustainable economic growth.
